Megan added that she admires the team-up because they remain successful after many years even if they are not a real-life couple. “I appreciate that hindi sila, parang they pretend to be together when in real life they’re not. I appreciate that and I appreciate what their fans say that they respect that.” She continued that theirs is a love team that does not commonly exist.
Meanwhile Megan was also asked about her younger sister Lauren Young, who is no longer with ABS-CBN. “Sa pagkakaaalam ko,” confirmed Megan of her sister’s career move. She revealed that her younger sister’s camp is negotiating with another network, however, she refused to spill other details. “Aware ako [sa mga nangyayari] kasi kapatid ko siya. Alam ko ang nangyayari, but I don’t want to [say] any final words habang wala pang final words talaga na nanggagaling sa [kampo nila]. Ayokong mag-assume baka mamaya magsalita ako tapos hindi naman pala tama ‘yung nasabi ko, so ayokong pangunahan ang ibang tao,” she explained.
She said that she does not want to meddle with her younger sister’s career decisions, not because she does not care about her, but because she wants her to be independent. “Independent na kaming dalawa ni Lauren, I want her to learn on her own as an adult. She’s a young adult.”
She added that the two of them had to grow up faster because they had to be on their own at an early age and she said that letting Lauren decide on her own will do her good. “Ngayon pa lang I want her to make her own decisions I want her to learn kung ano ba talaga ang mga dapat at di dapat gawon. Ako bilang ate I can only do so much. I can only tell her, ‘O, ito [ang] dapat.’ Pero kung desisyon niya hindi niya gagawin ‘yon, it’s up to her. It’s up to her to become the adult she will be when she becomes older with the decisions to make, so I want her to learn that. I want her to make mistakes also not to say na puro mga pagkakamali ka, I want her to make mistakes so that she’ll learn from there.”
