Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited Edition Big 4 Slater Young, Pamu Pamorada, Joseph Biggel, and Paco Evangelista admitted that they learned a lot about themselves during their 155-day stay inside the PBB house.
As one of the most outspoken among the housemates, Paco admitted that even he got affected by how people viewed him. “One of the realizations I had when I got out of the house was naapektuhan ako bilang kontrabida. Pero naging significant na sa akin yung role ko as a house player na kailangan ko maipalabas yung tunay nilang nararamdaman dahil kailangan natin matulungan yung taong bayan kung sino ba talaga yung karapat-dapat. Ultimately, it’s not that I don’t care what people think, but this is who I am. And yung mga kaibigan mo naman talaga, they will be there for you. I also want to be seen as the person naninindigan sa kanyang mga sinasabi, hindi yung pabago bago na just for the sake of being loved, babaguhin mo yung sarili mo. It’s a dilemma pero hindi ko na iniisip na ganun,” he said.
The 26-year-old second-year law student said he does not regret coming off as too opinionated which may have rubbed some viewers the wrong way. “I never thought that I could be that competitive kasi every day is a competition sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya unlike in the real world na there are lag times na nakahiga ka lang or wala kang ginagawa. Pero inside the house, you’re always doing something. So mas na-ge-gauge mo yung sarili mo kung gaano ka katatag or ano yung diskarte mo sa mga bagay-bagay. Every day it’s like that. Parang it’s training na rin sa amin kaya paglabas namin sa bahay ang unang napansin ng mga kapamilya ko was nagbago ako in that area. Parang I almost felt like I could do anything,” he recalled.
Big Winner Slater Young also echoed the same sentiment. So parang you learn to accept yourself,” he told Push.com.ph.
When it comes to PBB runner-up Pamu Pamorada, the 19-year-old from Batangas city said she learned to become more expressive about her emotions after her Pinoy Big Brother experience. “Napansin ko na naging more showy ako sa kanila, na lahat na-o-open up ko sa kanila. Yun lang siguro,” she said
Although he admitted it was a bit of a struggle to fit in with the other housemates because he grew up in the province, Biggel said he did not let any insecurities overcome him inside the house. Matatalino sila,” he said.
The 19-year-old from Marinduque said he is grateful to Big Brother for a lot of things.
