Marco Gumabao said he enjoyed his acting debut role as the popular school heartthrob JB Arellano in the teen-oriented show LUV U. "Masaya ako siyempre kasi yung show namin naging successful. Nasa season two na kami tapos may mga new friends na ako. Pero pareho pa rin naman yung feeling sa start," he said.
The 17-year-old actor admitted it was not hard adjusting to the rest of his cast mates which include his love team partner Miles Ocampo and Igi Boy Flores, Kiray Celis, Angeli Gonzales, Alfred Lobatos, CJ Navato, Vanjo Cuenca, and Rhap Salazar. Kasi lahat naman sila close namin," he told Push.com.ph.
The young actor admitted he is gearing up for his next television project, a new drama series which pairs him up with Miles again. Although it is still in the works, Marco said he is up for the new acting challenge. I don’t know, siguro kakayanin," he said.
The new series is reportedly going to be headlined by no other than Kris Aquino. Now that he and Miles have been established as a love team onscreen, Marco said he has no complaints with his pairing with the Goin' Bulilit alumna. "Wala namang pagbabago.
Ever since LUV U started airing, Marco admitted that he has noticed some changes after formally being welcomed into showbiz. So parang hindi puwedeng LRT palagi.
Marco will also face a new step in his life as he starts college this semester as an AB Psychology major at the De La Salle University after graduating from Ateneo last March. "Excited na nga ako sa first day of classes namin. Sana kayanin yung schedule at saka yung tapings," he said.
