Erich Gonzales says she and Enchong Dee are still close even without being a loveteam

After Maria la Del Barrio, Erich Gonzales admits she is happy with the outcome of her movie Corazon as well as a slew of other upcoming projects this year. Although she won’t be paired up with perennial love team partner Enchong Dee for a while, the pretty actress admits it doesn’t mean they won’t remain good friends. “For a teleserye siyempre I’ll miss working with Enchong. Hindi muna kami makakagawa ng teleserye for a while pero I’m going to see him pa naman sa ASAP and then yun nga, currently may ginagawa din siyang movie and ka-loveteam niya doon si Jessy Mendiola so ako naman sa Corazon ang partner ko si Derek and then for sa Suddenly It’s Magic si Mario. Masaya naman kami pareho and we’ll see each other pa rin. Definitely magkakatrabaho pa rin kami,” she shares.

The 21-year-old actress admits that after working together in various Kapamilya series like Katorse, Magkaribal and Maria la Del Barrio, her friendship with Enchong goes beyond what is seen by the camera already. “Siguro naman sa tagal naming magkasama, kumbaga bilang magka-partner kasi sa lahat ng yun nandiyan kami para sa isa't isa. Hindi naman kami basta magka-trabaho, kahit papano naman andun naman yung friendship namin. hindi lang basta trabaho. matibay ang pagkakaibigan naming,” she explains.

After their last series, Erich adds she noticed how much Enchong has grown as an actor through the years. “Pansin ko ganun pa rin naman, pero yun nga nag-mature naman siya. Nakita niyo naman kaming dalawa together from Katorse pa na first team-up namin. Mahilig pa din siya manuod ng dvds during break time tapos mahilig pa din siya sa pagkain (laughs).”

Although there are no definite plans to see them together on screen again anytime soon, Erich is confident that they will be reunited on the small screen for sure. “It depends with the management. Sila naman talaga yung nagde-decide kung anong project yung ibibigay sa amin and kung kailan. But definitely this is not going to be our last team-up naman. Kumbaga ngayon kanya-kanyang projects muna kami,” she says.

For her next project, Erich admits that she is hoping to be able to do stunts like Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie in her next movie for a change. “I want to do a movie like Wanted kasi action yun. I’ve never tried doing an action project. Kasi I've tried everything na but that is something different. Gusto ko talaga kakaiba naman. Ayoko yung mga pa-sweet at pa-cute na roles. Kahit sino i-pares sa akin basta swak naman okay lang sa akin,” she reveals.

Now that she is on break from doing a teleserye, Erich also admits she has more time to do things for herself. “Before kasi nagsu-school ako pero since nagte-taping kami before everyday ng Maria la Del Barrio and then may iba ring mga work commitments, I had to stop. Definitely I'll go back to school and continue my studies. Kumbaga baliktad lang yan ngayon  Yung iba nag-aaral para may work. Ako mag-wo-work tapos after na lang yung aral. basta promise yun tatapusin ko yung school ko. Pero pag walang taping I either just stay at home or maglalaro ako ng badminton or watch dvds, read books or listen lang sa different kinds of music.”
